Separation instruments.
Separation instruments: are those used to separate or retract a cavity or organ during surgical procedures, and at the same time they are those that keep tissues or organs outside the area where the surgeon is working to provide a better view of the operative field.
Cutting or diathermy instruments.
The cutting or diathermy instruments must have a sharp edge and be able to cut. They are used to cut, separate, or remove tissue. The scalpel, the electrocautery knife or electric scalpel, and scissors belong to this type of instrument.
Aspiration and/or suction instruments.
Los instrumentos de aspiración tipo Frazier se usan en procedimientos quirúrgicos abiertos en los que se necesita aspiración fina y delicada para evacuar residuos de la zona de la intervención quirúrgica, todos los instrumentos de aspiración desechables tipo Frazier vienen con mangos que no se descascaran y un obturador para facilitar dar forma al metal y limpiar el instrumento de obstrucciones.

Hemostatic instruments: are used to temporarily occlude bleeding vessels to stop the bleeding that occurs during tissue cutting in surgical procedures. They are designed with a ratcheted or self-retaining closure system.
