WITH FORCEPS
It consists of a tip, joint, body, and forceps; for example gynecological forceps, speculums
WITH LOCK
It consists of a ring, joint, body, tip, and lock; for example: vascular and intestinal forceps (clamps)
FIBER OPTIC
These are instruments that are made up of glass optical fibers and covered with a rubber element or polyethylene alloys to make them stronger and more resistant; for example laparoscopes, cystoscopes, arthroscopes, ureteroscopes, gastroscopes.

They are classified into instruments for dissection or cutting, separation, hemostasis, grasping, drainage instruments, and synthesis.
