It is the instrument used to perform hemostasis in a bleeding vessel or tissue.
Halsted Mosquito Straight and Curved Forceps: This forceps is used to compress small caliber vessels and in various surgical procedures. They have transverse striations and have short, fine-pressure branches.
Curved Kelly forceps: These forceps are useful for compressing larger caliber vessels and providing fixed hemostasis. A surgical instrument made of stainless steel, whose active part is grooved, and which has a gear with teeth so that, once closed, the clamp remains fixed without the need to tighten.
straight kelly forceps: This forceps is used in surgeries and procedures to manipulate or separate tissue, fat, or connective tissue without cutting or injuring a structure, such as a blood vessel.
- Curved and straight Kelly Adson clamp: This clamp, like the Kelly, has the same function, but since it is longer; It is especially used in cavities with greater depth (abdominal cavity).
- curved and straight rochester forceps: it is used to hold blood vessels, remove small roots and fix loose objects. They are thicker than Kelly forceps and are more used in gynecological surgeries (hysterectomies).
- curved and straight knocker forceps: This is a force and pressure forceps for trauma and belongs to the class of grasping surgical instruments; To this end, they have sharp points which have small transverse serrated teeth along their entire length.
- Foerster or heart forceps: Its main function is to hold any surgical material, its use is mainly used with gauze, exercising the function of tissue dissection, this is thanks to the rings that it has in its jaw which are not traumatic and have a stable grip.
