It is used in surgery to grasp, hold, attract, or compress tissue, it has one or more fine teeth at the end of each blade to hold tissue with minimal trauma during surgery.
- Bayonet forceps
They have smooth tips and are used to remove tissue gently without the risk of damaging adjacent organs and delicate tissue structures. These are especially useful in surgeries that involve the nerves in the deeper regions of the body.
